Birch Plywood

Six grades, from show-face B/BB to economy C/C — made from rotary-cut birch veneer and pressed in the Republic of Georgia.

Birch plywood is the backbone of Palati's line. Every panel is built from cross-laminated birch veneers for exceptional strength, stiffness and screw-holding power.

Choose the grade that fits the job: premium faces for furniture and millwork, utility faces for casework and sheathing, economy grades for crating, packaging and jigs.

Plywood B/BB — surface

Premium grade

Plywood B/BB

A clean B face over a high-quality BB back — the panel you choose when the surface is the finish.

The B face is virtually free of defects; the BB back is smooth, with minor imperfections neatly repaired. The result is high strength, long service life and a surface that takes paint, stain or clear lacquer beautifully.

Best for premium furniture and cabinetry, millwork and interior finishes under clear varnish — anywhere the face is on display.

Plywood BB/BB — surface

High grade

Plywood BB/BB

BB veneer on both faces — a uniform, paint-ready panel that looks good from either side.

Both surfaces are smooth and free of major defects. Small knots and pin knots are fully repaired with sound veneer patches, giving a consistent, even appearance across the sheet.

Stable through changes in temperature and humidity. A go-to choice for furniture production and for interior or exterior furniture components that are painted or clear-coated.

Plywood BB/CP — surface

Decorative / utility

Plywood BB/CP

One show face, one working face — you pay for appearance only where it counts.

The BB side is decorative and ready for paint or varnish; knots are typically repaired with veneer inserts. The CP side is the utility back — small checks and defects may be present, and it can be painted.

Ideal for interior wall paneling, fixtures and casework where only one side is ever seen.

Plywood CP/CP — surface

Utility grade

Plywood CP/CP

A hard-working utility panel with two evenly processed CP faces.

Small checks or loose knots may remain and can be filled with wood putty. With proper prep, both faces accept paint and varnish and can be overlaid with films or laminates.

Used for furniture carcasses, single-use concrete forms, subfloor under finished flooring and other technical applications.

Plywood CP/C — surface

Utility grade

Plywood CP/C

Built for jobs where performance matters and appearance doesn't.

The CP face is puttied for technical use and, once prepped, can be painted, varnished or overlaid. The C back is a utility, non-decorative surface where natural wood characteristics remain.

Common uses: underlayment-type and interior utility work, shop fixtures and general non-structural applications.

Plywood C/C — surface

Utility / industrial grade

Plywood C/C

The most economical grade — strong birch plies, no cosmetic promises.

Both faces are C grade: checks and knots may remain, and paint, varnish or coat it as the job requires.

Built for furniture frames, crating and packaging, jigs and fixtures, cargo protection in transit and other utility uses.
